Bio - KeepingHistoryAlive

A freelance photojournalist and photographer, Karie specializes in: military, veterans, military historical preservation, historical reenactments, commercial photography, and the American family, including portraiture, and weddings.

Karie cultivated her passion for photography, and interest in the military, its history and those who serve our country, into what is now "Front Echelon Photography" bringing awareness, and preserving history through photography, of our veterans and service men and women and the families that stand behind them.

The mission of Front Echelon Photography is to provide a voice for service members and the military family, whether for personal or professional needs, by capturing the events, celebrations, mourning of lives lost, and the individual histories of the American Soldier through the lens of a camera. In order to appreciate the United States of America, we must never forget those who have fought for it.

She also specializes in historical reenactment photography. While her services are available to other historical reenactment organizations, she participates and serves as the photographer for the 6th Cav Historical Association and General Patton's 3rd Army.

Karie proudly served as photographer for the Lone Star Honor Flight and the inaugural Houston Honor Flight, part of a national organization providing free flights for WWII veterans to visit the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C. The Lone Star Honor Flight transported over 500 WWII veterans. She continues to support the Poplar Business Park weekly veteran meetings, providing photography and continues research for the Merillat project.

Karie currently lives in Texas with her husband and two children.
