Lone Star Honor Flight - KeepingHistoryAlive

When Montgomery Junior High History teacher Brenda Beaven watched a TV segment on the Honor Flight organization in 2008, she was inspired to create the Lone Star Honor Flight, one of the first Honor Flight hubs in Texas. With the support of the Junior High Principal, teachers, it's students and the community, the Lone Star Honor Flight sent over 500 WWII veterans to Washington D.C. for free to see the National World War II Memorial that was built in their honor.
