In Honor of Our Military

Front Echelon Photography presents the following photographic video as a tribute to our nation's military. Originally created and presented at a veterans conference in 2011, its goal is to honor and remember those who have served our country.

The video is approximately 10 minutes long. It is hoped that you will gather your families together and take a moment to watch it in honor of the sacrifices on our behalf. Keep in mind that the numbers noted from previous wars are as accurate as possible. The numbers for Operation Iraq Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn, reflect the numbers in mid 2011 when the video was created. The numbers continued to increase, sometimes on a daily basis.

I have had the humble honor to meet each person in each photograph (excluding 13 photos that were used by permission from the Department of Defense and a few private sources). Some of you might see yourself in these photos ... you know who you are. It has been a privilege to sit at the feet of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans, to hear first hand living history. It has also been a privilege to meet so many of our current service members and their families. It has been heartbreaking to meet countless Gold Star families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty; their experiences compel me to be a better citizen and to appreciate the freedoms I enjoy.

If you feel compelled to comment on the video please do so using the space provided below the video. While I received permission to use the music and the 13 photos from other sources, due to copyright restrictions I cannot sell this video, but please feel free to share the link.

Let freedom ring, Karie
